Ted Schiffman, student of Ansel Adams, offers his diverse collection of nature, landscape and wildlife prints in a variety of sizes on paper and canvas, framed or unframed.
His work is published worldwide by The National Geographic Society, The Smithsonian Institution, The American Museum of Natural History, The U.S. Department of Interior, The World Wildlife Fund and Encyclopedias Americana and Britannica, among many others.
Ted has published 16 wildlife and hiking books along with five adult coloring books. His latest book, A Toad's Adventure(2016), is a rhyming whimsical story about an adventurous amphibian.
Although many adults find the books extremely enjoyable and informative, young readers will be captivated as well. All the books showcase Ted's remarkable photographs.
The photographs are the results of 44 years as a wildlife photographer for National Geographic and many other publications.
Since 1972, Ted has been to East Africa on safari 33 times. The people, culture, scenery and wildlife are unique and extraordinary to this special part of Africa, the birthplace for all humans.
A safari can be a once-in-a-lifetime experience and Ted provides daily instruction for the participants to help everyone capture remarkable images at the level of their interest and capability.
This year, August 2017, will be the 20th year he has escorted people on photographic safaris.
